Q: I am an education provider.  How do I get approved with your office?

A:  Education Providers interested in obtaining approval to conduct courses to meet initial licensing or continuing education requirements should submit form MLA05 "Application for Approval as a Provider of Education Courses".  A form must be filed for each course, which may be offered multiple times from July 1 through June 30, thereafter approval for each course must be renewed. No Sales/Marketing courses will be approved.

Q:  How may I view the education courses I have already taken?

A:  You can sign onto the loan officer login page to view your education history.  Remember that if you take the same course more than once in a three year period with the same education provider you WILL NOT receive education credits.

Q:  What are the steps to licensing?

A:  You should take a fundamentals course from the approved list; take the NC Mortgage licensing examination with PSI testing service; submit your application for licensing online or print out the Uniform Individual Mortgage App and Consent Form and submit via mail.  In order to complete the licensing process a completed fingerprint card and Authority For Release of Information must be sent in, by mail, to the Mortgage Division regardless of how you apply.
