Q: Will my bank charge me for using ACH?
A: Currently, most banks do not charge for using ACH. Ask your bank about the costs - be sure to specify the transaction is an ACH transaction (which is a next-day transfer).
Q: How soon after my ACH payment authorization is accepted will my bank account be debited?
A: Usually, no sooner than the second business day after the ACH payment authorization has been accepted.
Q: How will I recognize the ACH debit on my bank statement?
A: You will see an entry on your bank statement towards NC BANKNG COMMIS ACH-NCCOB.
Q: How can I be sure that ACH is secure and accurate?
A: All personal information, including bank account information, is transmitted securely using 128 bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. NCCOB uses the Common Payment Service (CPS), an interface provided by the state of NC, to access the payment processing services. For security reasons no bank account information is stored at NCCOB.
Q: How can I get proof of an online payment?
A: Once your license has been approved you can sign into our website using your personal information and print off a list of your payment history for all payments that were made made online.
